Jackie came to SCARS in July 2009 with a rope deeply embedded in her neck. Her neck was shaved and treated, and she was sent to her foster home with antibiotics and some ointment to put on her wound. She was a gentle soul, and she recovered nicely. After having lived through unspeakable unkindness and neglect - just look at her now. Here's an update from her new family....

Jackie likes to sit in her chair with the boys (Max and Jackson). They love her a lot and she doesn't even move when they climb all over her...all she does is give them the occasional kiss...she is walking now without a leash and she does not ever go to far without waiting for us. While at the vet clinic, I was flipping through the SCARS 2010 calendar when I noticed Jackie's picture. It's very nice to see she made the photo shoot this year!
